The Tarot ~ An Ongoing Series

Over the course of the next 80 weeks, we will be presenting our series on The Tarot, each week defining and explaining one card and how that card is interpreted not only in readings but how it can be used as a symbolic focus for meditation. The Tarot contains 78 cards, broken into three sections; Major Arcana, Minor Arcana and Court Cards.

The tarot is a collection of esoteric and universal symbolism represented in pictures. Within its symbols are the paintings, sculptures, legends, myths and religions of civilization. Although many theories abound, no one knows how old the tarot is. No one knows who created it. It has been associated with ancient Egypt, the gypsies, the Knights Templar and heretic sects of the Middle Ages. Officially, the first Tarot deck is dated to the 14th century and was created in Italy.

Whether you are new to the Tarot or have studied the meanings of the cards for years, we hope our journey into the mysteries and deeper meanings of the cards will inspire you to continue reading. In addition, we will be offering a course in study on the Tarot which will be available in the coming months. If you wish to have your own tarot reading consultation by phone from either Lady Sarah or Sophia, you can arrange a call with them or make and appointment using their Click4Advisor buttons.
